The Los Angeles Rams play host to the San Francisco 49ers at SoFi Stadium for their third meeting of the season. The last time closed the regular season and landed the Niners in the playoffs. This time it's for the NFC Championship and a trip to Super Bowl LVI.

The 49ers seem to be the division rival Rams' Achilles heel as winners of six in a row in the series. It's the perfect time for the Rams to end that streak, though, and perhaps a chance to host the Super Bowl LVI in their home stadium serves as extra motivation.

The San Francisco 49ers have been upset kings this postseason and they’ll look to continue that trend in the NFC Championship on Sunday night when they take on the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium.

FOX will stream the game on FOX Live and the FOX Sports App, but to do so requires a cable log-in. The games are also available to live stream on the Official NFL App or by accessing the Yahoo! Sports app, which both broadcast in-market and primetime games throughout the regular and post-season.

The 49ers have had to go into two hostile environments so far this postseason and have come out with wins both times when they weren’t expected to. The Wild Card win over the Dallas Cowboys was impressive, but the Divisional Round win over the Green Bay Packers was a masterclass in defense. The team held Aaron Rodgers to just 10 points and won somehow even without an offensive touchdown. They hold a 2-0 record on the Rams this season heading into this game too, so they could be primed for another upset.

LA cruised over the Arizona Cardinals in the Wild Card round and had to weather a perfect storm of mistakes in a near-catastrophic blown game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Rams offense has gotten hot recently, with QB Matthew Stafford throwing four TDs and no picks in the last two weeks. He’ll need to play a clean game Sunday night, because in the previous two meetings he’s tossed two picks in each contest.

The Rams earned some more postseason success in their contest last week. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, sneaking past 30-27. Los Angeles' QB Matthew Stafford did his thing and passed for two TDs and 366 yards on 38 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown. Stafford's 70-yard touchdown toss down the right side of the field to WR Cooper Kupp in the second quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the afternoon.

Special teams collected 12 points for Los Angeles. K Matt Gay delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.

Speaking of close games: last week San Francisco sidestepped the Green Bay Packers for a 13-10 victory.

As it got past the Packers' offensive line to sack QB Aaron Rodgers five times for a total loss of 29 yards. The heavy lifting was done by DE Arik Armstead and DE Nick Bosa, who each racked up two sacks.

The Rams are the favorite in this one, with an expected 3.5-point margin of victory. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread as they are currently on a two-game streak of ATS wins.

A couple defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Los Angeles enters the matchup having picked the ball off 19 times, good for third in the league. As for the 49ers, they rank first in the NFL when it comes to forced fumbles, having caused 22 on the season.
